How is my WHS Handicap Calculated?
All WHS Handicaps are now calculated and administered on England Golf’s WHS Platform.
Competitions are administered at SOGC, using the Intelligent Golf system (IG). Competition scores which have been recorded via IG are uploaded overnight to the WHS Platform. After all handicaps are recalculated overnight by the WHS system, IG then downloads the revised WHS Handicap Indexes and handicap records of all players, early the next morning.
You can view the WHS Rules via the England Golf website. In particular, the latest documents, following the 1 April 2024 changes are provided here. The two key reference documents are the “WHS Rules of Handicapping” and “GUIDANCE ON THE WHS RULES OF HANDICAPPING AS APPLIED WITHIN GB&I”.
